Cambridge Judge Business School MBA students, led by Aeint Chel, Tim Cayanga, Stella Harman and Sean Lai of The Cambridge ASEAN Business Club (CABC) in collaboration with the Cambridge Business School Club, have joined forces with the wider University of Cambridge community to fundraise for those affected by the recent earthquake in Myanmar and Thailand. The impact of the disaster has been devastating, killing many and leaving thousands of families displaced, injured, and in urgent need of necessities and medical attention.
Sean Lai, Cambridge MBA 2024 said: “In the spirit of the Cambridge MBA, we launched this campaign to give back and help those affected by this tragedy. We firmly believe business leaders must lead by example—taking action, driving positive social impact, and standing in solidarity with communities in crisis.”
Aeint Chel, Cambridge MBA 2024 who is also an entrepreneur and Founder of MG&J Jewellery, has also kindly offered a pair of Burmese Natural Ruby earrings worth £500 as a charity lottery for the first 100 people who donate £30 or more.
All donations go directly to charities on the frontlines helping those in need, which include amongst others:
- World Food Programme (WFP), one of the fastest and most efficient ways to support communities facing severe humanitarian needs.
- Rajavithi Hospital, Thailand, who is providing crucial medical assistance to earthquake victims.
- K9 USAR THAILAND, a charity conducting rescue operations from collapsed buildings in Bangkok.
All donations provide hope and relief to Myanmar and Thailand, and you can access the fundraising page here:
